Bronco BEAM connects students to free leftover food on the Boise State campus using location-based notifications. Since its pilot launch in Fall 2019, it has been downloaded by over 1,000 students and staff at the university with up to 40 people being fed per event. The app was developed by a 3 person team including myself.
My role as the lead Front-end developer for this app included development of the original application which was created in Unity. I was then tasked with remaking the user interface in React Native. In order to ensure success of the project, my team and I had to interface with various departments on campus including Boise State's Office of Information Technology and Boise State administrators.
